Not all lawsuits are frivolous. People should have the right to take legal action against someone who have wronged them if they can legally prove it. They should just make sure they sue the right person. And we mean PERSON.
A woman who was bitten on the buttocks by a police dog lost her case because she sued the wrong defendant, according to ClickonDetroit.com.
The woman filed her suit against the dog. That only works if you expect to be paid in Kibbles and Bits and Bits and Bits.
The judge not only dismissed the suit against poor Scruffy, but also fined the woman for filing a frivolous suit. The dog did not offer any comment because he’s a #*$&ing dog.

have you heard of the guy who broke into a house, accidentally locked himself in the garage, had to eat dry dog food and drink a cart of warm pepsi’s, then, when the family (who were on an 8 day vacation) came back, he sued for “mental truama”, and won?
once again, i don’t know HOW humans become the dominant species.

One would wonder why she did not sue the police department as the dog was employed by them and was doing his/her duty at the time of the incident.

man if that dog bit me on my ass I would have kill that dog/shot it. And I would sue for 4 million dollars just because the police dog attack me. I mean if a police dog with no cop supervising it was attacking you would you kill the dog you self and sue the police department for millions of dollars just for attacking a innocent person? think about it would’nt you do the same thing?

I believe the plaintiff in this case could either be described as ignorant in terms of law or within the parameters or how the judicial system even works…. or a f*&%ing idiot… either way works.

Roo that was actually a soldier from Saudi Arabia back in the early 80’s that did that. It happened up around Great Lakes Naval Base. My dad was the one that had to go pick the guy up from the scene of the accident. But in this case the woman was a complete moron. Police dogs only attack when ordered to. So what crime was she commiting that ended with her butt being bit?

Two things:
1. The saddest part of this story is that she COULD have had a case, if she had just sued the dog’s OWNER, not the DOG!
2. You can be fined for filing a frivolous lawsuit in Michigan? Why don’t we have that in every state?
