First off, I have the utmost respect for cops. They have a hard job that requires them to put their heart and soul on the line everyday for a duty very few people have the balls to answer. Speaking of balls, check out the pair on the cop who filed this suit.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, a police officer has sued the family of a baby they saved because he injured himself on the job.
She sued someone because she hurt herself trying to save a baby’s life. To protect and get served sounds more like it.
The baby has suffered some permanent damages after falling in a pool, but the cop injured herself after slipping on a pool of water. A HAZMAT team had to rescue her from the scene.
The good news is the officer has been placed on leave and has agreed to drop the lawsuit. No word on whether the department will let her keep her job, her badge or her dignity.

My question is, Where were the parants of this child??? Lets face it when a call is made to have an officer come to the house it takes time before they arrive. Did the incident happen when the officer arrived? In any case every department usually has an excellant medical policy to cover this type of incident. Sounds like the female officer is looking to get out on a work related injury ie; that means she gets 80% pay for the rest of her life (usually) and doesn’t have protect and serve (work) anymore. They should place her in charge of coffee making, changing the rolls of toilet paper, cleaning bird poop out of koo-koo clocks, etc. so she won’t slip and fall.
