Bad Restaurant Review? That’s a Paddling

February 20th, 2008 · 5 Comments

Since when do bad reviews merit a defamation lawsuit? If that’s the case, Uwe Boll, Britney Spears and just about every president in the history of the country could have a case to go to court.

According to the AFP, the owner of a Japanese restaurant chain sued the publisher of a restaurant guide for receiving a bad review.

The guide ranked the restaurant dead last. If only they had a Denny’s in Japan…

The owner claims the restaurant chain has suffered a great deal of pain and hardship from the review after they realized how lousy their food is.

The chain argues that the review is the subjective opinion of just one writer and that one writer has damaged the entire chain. I guess the pen is mightier than the sword depending on where you stick it.

Yes, horrible restaurant, it’s not your fault you have horrible food. So instead of making the food better, you should sue.

The guy who gave the review probably is an expert… What the hell is wrong with the owner … A bad review should push his asian ass to do better .. not cry about it …
