images-3.jpgNo, not the dumb musical. We mean the actually article. Now normally, we might file this at Dumbcriminals.com, but since this man has sued back at the police for arresting him, it belongs here. Welcome home, little bear.

According to The Smoking Gun, William Davis of Musfreesboro is suing the police department for $1.5 million for seizing and destroying his collection of frozen cats and dogs claiming they had sentimental value and he was trying to win a Guinness Record.

Well, if it’s for craziest cat owner, we have a winner!

The man had a total of 114 dead cats and three dogs in three freezers at his home, which police raided in December of 2003. They called it the cutest crime scene they’d ever seen since the Great Troll Doll burglary of 1998.

The suit claims Davis suffered “emotional pain and suffering” when police seized his animal collection and the animals had “emotional value” to him. Apparently, you CAN put a price on love.

If he liked them, he should’ve been able to keep them. I had a teacher who had, or maybe even still has, a frozen fox he shows his students. Big deal.

    tis actually kind of sickening.
where did he get the freezer and that many animals?
sometimes, its just easier to let things go…

I would imagine that to house that many deceased animals, some sort of sanitation documentation has to be obtained. Wouldn’t you be pissed if your next door neighbor had 100 some odd dead frozen animals and the power went out for a day or two. I guess everybody in the neighborhood knows where all the missing kitties are now also.
