Wow…does this mean I can sue my old high school gym teacher for making me run so many laps and still didn’t pick me for the varsity track team? Must be nice to hold on to your principles while looking like a complete fool for pulling a temper tantrum. Wish someone had taken a picture at that moment in time: the look on her face when they didn’t announce her name for such an auspicious, coveted title must’ve been priceless! Wonder if her principles will help pay her attorney’s fees when she loses her case. Ha!

I don’t care about the girl, but I have to wonder; all the people who are posting that America sucks and is too easy on everyone, where are you posting from?

In any case, as an Australian, I have to agree: Homecoming Queen/King should be done away with. It’s a wonderful ego trip to those who win, but everyone else just feels inferior.

You would think that at 40 yrs. old you wouldn’t be seeking validation & acceptance in such a silly way. Home Coming Queen. Really? I thin she was maybe trying to make up for all the years she was a nobody in school & still failed to achieve such a high status in her eyes so she threw a fit. I don’t think she is happy with her self. this is really petty & really sad.

At the age of 40, I could see why an adult would want to finish college, especially if it is a life goal etc. But to attend college at this age and participate in Homecoming.... common'! This story is almost as bad as the judge who sued his dry cleaners for $67 million after they lost his $800 pants.

Wow so basicly what this woman is saying is if you lose you have the right to sue. If any judge allows her to win this lawsuit that’s just opening the flood gates. What will be next? I could sue my old high school, state, and the ref for me getting red carded and thrown out of the state semifinals in soccer. Or maybe Jeff Gordon can sue Nascar everytime his punk ass loses. This country has just gone sue happy. What happened to the good old days. Remember those times, when if you lost you and your friends ragged on the winner and tried harder the next time? We need to go back to those days.

Aslo CA get of Stefans nuts for respecting older woman. If men had more respect for women we would have less violent crimes against women.

I just stumbled upon this site (have no idea what this homecoming thing is all about), but am LMAO!

You know, you never think “you” are really old but it hit me like a ton of bricks just now. Even though I look younger and only have a one year old, I’m 39 years old! Not sure how this happened, but I am. To see the remark about “how many years someone hasn’t lived” (when they were 40) made me laugh so hard. I remember now being younger and how I thought this age was old. UGH

Oh well, I look better now than I did when I was a teen or in my twenties, so perhaps I’m like a fine wine.

As for these stupid contests, schools should just do away with them. They do nothing but make people feel inferior…it is a ridiculous tradition in the school system.
