We’re always fascinated by suits filed by people who are incarcerated. It always makes us wonder where they think they were staying. Did they think they were serving their time in a Marriott Suites or something?
According to the Chicago Sun Times, three inmates have filed a suit because they don’t like the food.
The food tastes so bad (how bad is it?) it throws you up.
The inmates claim the breads are often “soggy” and the food as a whole is lacking in nutritional value. Well they should just take that up with the captain.
A member of the sheriff’s office told the paper that “We can’t serve a Cajun chicken breast.” God I hope not. If they can’t handle something as simple as bread, I don’t want to know what their steak tartar tastes like.

If the inmates don’t like the food that they receive, they should not have gotten themselves in that position in the first place.

solution..give them some dirt, some seeds an animal or two and a camp fire and let them raise and make their own food! wahla..problem solved. they would have no one to blame for bad food except themselves.

I know of another similiar type of lawsuit where the inmate protested the food given to him by throwing it all over his cell. So in order to lessen the clean up time the staff put his whole meal in a blender and served him a liquified meal. He sued. The judge dismissed his suit on the basis that he still received all the nutritional needs set up by the state. But because of HIS actions he received them in an altered state. Besides a liquid mess is easier to clean up than a solid one. My understanding is that the staff never received another complaint about the food. Go figure….
