We strongly believe in the notion of separating church and state because if they team up and join forces, they could become an uber-strong churchstate that will rise up and rule over us all with its iron fist.
One father in Australia is trying to make sure they stay separate when he filed a suit complaining that a teacher screened the movie “Evan Almighty” in his kid’s classroom, according to The Australian.
The father told the paper he filed the suit because he didn’t want his kids “exposed to superstitious mumbo-jumbo, presented as fact, in an educational setting.” And he’s not referring to the ridiculous plot.
The school denies the claim saying that the “mumbo jumbo” in question came from “Evan Almighty.” Sounds like the father should sue for lack of a proper education in the first place.

If he’s going to sue for “mumbo jumbo presented as fact” he should sue every politician on Earth for stating all their bullcrap.

The dad is a prick in the first place. I mean come on..really? It’s a movie; a kid’s movie at that. One can already tell what type of father he will be when his child ages. Real life 40 year old virgin in the making.

Ok that law suit is just plain dumb. I am all for the separation of church and state, but the movie Evan Almighty does not promote church at all. It is a family comedy movie and in no way does it promote “mumbo jumbo”. I don’t recall how a fictional movie can claim “mumbo jumbo” as fact. Seeing how fictional movies are..whats the word???
FICTIONAL!!!
