Well, it happened. We all knew this day would come. We all knew the hour was upon us. We all knew it was bound to rear its ugly head once again. But then we got comfortable and happy and that’s when it pounced on us like a lion on a wildebeest with BBQ flavored blood.
According to the North Jersey Record, a Wayne, N.J. man is suing Starbucks after spilling hot tea on his hand.
The man’s lawyer claimed when her client picked up his napalm, er, tea, the lid wasn’t snapped on correctly. I know what you’re thinking right now: who the hell orders tea at Starbucks? That’s like ordering a steak at Denny’s or ordering a roast beef hoagie at Krispie Kreme or ordering anything at Denny’s.
The lid came loose and caused third degree burns to his hand. Nooooooooooo, if only he used the cream!
The story doesn’t specify what damages the man is seeking, but we can only assume he’ll want a full foam, venti, dododecahedronally shaped, animal free, mocha cocoa chocolate espressro broccoli frappuchino.

Why didn’t he check the lid like anyone else whould have. Starbuck should sue him for making a mess that they had to cleanup.

The sad thing is that he might actually win this one. Remember the story in the late 90’s when a woman put her cup of coffee between her laps and burnt herslef while driving over a speed bump? She sued them for a million dollars and won….

This may lead to where it may become impossible for an american to get a cop of hot tea/coffey/whatever. Luckily I do not live in america. Suits them right for having such an redicules culture about lawsuits for everything.

That guy’s a dick and Starbucks are dicks. The US must be a country full of dicks for this to happen. Oh, and that lawyer who’s taking on the case is a dick. Two words. COMMON SENSE.

I was a teenager working for a fast food place when the lady who sued McD. over the coffee happened. After that our cooperate office told us to lower the coffee temperature to some value, I cannot remember what it was. What I do remember is that after that we had complaints all day about the coffee being cold. People like this ruined everything for everyone.
