Dumb Lawsuits

OK, we know we said we wouldn’t ever return to this story about Roy Pearson and his tragedy pants, but like a great pair of pants, it just keeps getting better with age. Or is that wine?

According to the Washington Post, the judge could soon be out of a job.

The Commission on Selection and Tenure of Administrative Law Judges are in the process of writing Pearson’s pink slip. First a man loses his pants and now, his job? What is this country coming to? Does it not say on the Statue of Liberty, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled bottomless masses yearned to wear pants”?

Pearson is, of course, the judge who sued his local dry cleaners for losing his special pair of pants asking for $54 million in damages. We assume all the damages are limited to his brain.
