After many long and lengthy trials, a group of protestors in Northern California have won their case - though not with the expected results. The group locked arms inside of metal tubing to block off a roadway. In order to clear the road, police were forced to use pepper spray. The group contends that the police should have cut through the pipes instead (did they want to lose their arms?) The savvy judge awarded them exactly $1 each. However, the lawyers, enraged, now want $1 million in attorneys’ fees. Tough luck fellas.

The lawyers should be paid on a % basis. Then then wouldn’t waste their time on suits they can not win.
