Some Parents Just Don’t Understand

August 13th, 2008 · 60 Comments

Some people should never become parents. You know the kind of people I’m talking about: parents who leave their kids in cars during the summer, parents who feed their kids fast food three times a day, parents who let their kids listen to Clay Aiken.

These parents never should have become one either after they let their child die of starvation and then sued the state for not taking action against them, according to the AP.

The parents claim that it was the state agencies who caused their child’s death, not their negligent actions. So no Mr. Bank Robber, it’s not your fault that you robbed that bank. It’s the police department’s fault for not stopping you in the first place.

Prosecutors were, of course, angered by the suit. One attorney told reporters, “HULK SMASH PUNY TORT!”

    Here’s your sign.

  • 2 Schultz // Sep 1, 2008 at 1:25 pm

They should’ve been arrested for premeditated murder, or were they? It’s amazing how these subhuman beings try to place the blame on someone else for their actions. No words can describe their actions against that poor child! Lets get back to the eye for an eye way of thinking and let them starve to death for their punishment. Just plain disgusting!

  • 3 Nina // Sep 12, 2008 at 7:25 pm

They should lock the parents up and throw away the key. Hpoefully in the worlds worst prison.

  • 6 BloodValkyrie // Nov 4, 2008 at 3:27 pm

That is funny in a sad, dark-humored way. Were those parents mentally challenged? Poor children!

all the comments u post against people u dont know can haunt u in the weirdest way becareful what u say about people u dont know. u never know a persons situation and what they have been through until u live a day in there shoes also we all know the government aint what it should be and we all could be living a lil better than we are. So be a lil more careful who u judge cause we all got a judge to answer to and its neither of us something more powerful then the government the government is the antichrist not just one person the antichrist isnt a person its a titlte who shall where this title can single handly bring this counrty down cause it can happened and thats how the world shall end segments when things happened in different countries we only see it by news if the world was going to end .

  • 9 Joey // Dec 15, 2008 at 6:28 am

First of all, Jimmy you’re an idiot for placing that comment. You seem to be one of those people who blame others for your actions. A child is dead and will never learn to play sports, make friends, dream, have a girlfriend, get married, get a job, or have a family because his parents starved him to death.

  • 10 Cheryl Williams // Dec 17, 2008 at 12:47 am

The parents not only starved this child, they allowed the child to develop bedsores and then allowed the sores to get infested with maggots. I’m not talking about clean, medically introduced maggot therapy. I mean nasty, fly-deposited eggs that develop into maggots. This is unforgivable, and these people should hve no right to sue ANYONE for what they have done.

  • 11 Dayton Scott // Dec 21, 2008 at 1:52 am

jimmy, i am a single father, i am 24 years old and my son is 8, i have single handidly worked to support him in boy scouts, soccer, football, 4-h, and shooting sports. I dont see how it is even possible to even watch your kid starve to death. EVERYTHING ELSE beyond that is acts straight from hell.

  • 12 Artemis // Jan 18, 2009 at 12:32 am

Based on how you posted it I’m assuming that you’re uneducated and therefore won’t take what you said seriously. If you want people to take your opinions seriously you’re going to have to learn how to present them better. You did make a point in about the first half of your statement. However, starving your child is just inexcusable. You should present your post for another topic. Here it’s just offensive and doesn’t correctly apply.

All the comments you post against people you don’t know can haunt you in the weirdest way. Be careful what you say about people you don’t know. You never know a persons situation and what they have been through until you live a day in their shoes. Also, we all know the government isn’t what it should be and we could all be living a little better than we are. So be a little more careful whom you judge because we all have a judge to answer to and it’s neither of us. It’s something more powerful than the government. The government is the antichrist; not just one person. The antichrist isn’t a person. It’s a title. Whoever shall wear this title can single-handedly bring this country down. It can happen and that’s how the world shall end. Segments of when things happened in different countries, we only see it by news if the world was going to end.

to jimmy you can say anything because you can spell you. it’s you not u.
yay it’s was there fault they never give there there kid food and she/he die it’s the state fault. yay right it’s a life where talking about.

  • 14 Tracy // Feb 8, 2009 at 12:52 am

Touche Artemis. Very well written. Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone would present their positions in an intelligent manner? I appreciated your straightforwardness and overall point.

    Thanks!

  • 15 Devo // Mar 1, 2009 at 8:16 am

I don’t think that hurting these people would provide much catharsis or rehabilitation. First you need to clean them up, get them off of whatever is addling their brains. Then you need to give them time to sober up and realize what they have done. A qualified therapist should explain what happened so that they realize the full implications of their awful neglect. Only then could any real punishment affect contrition. A lengthy jail term with plenty of opportunity to reflect would be much more painful, and possibly beneficial, than plain vengeance.

Of course all this assumes these people are capable of sanity.

    What an awful tragedy.

  • 16 Some one // Apr 14, 2009 at 1:54 pm

you guys are jerks jimmy your opinion matters as much as every one else an i totally agree with it (I’m Christan) to sarah you stupid idiot you spelled plenty wrong

  • 17 Allie // Apr 22, 2009 at 10:44 pm

Oh wow, this story is amazing. Yes I can see how the parents may want to sue the state if they were denied foodstamps or supplimental income but at the same time there are enough food pantrys and soup kitchens to help. Also, they obviously aren’t too hungry themselves so why didn’t they skip a meal or two to be sure their child could eat? I am a mother of 4 and there have been times when I have had to go without so my kids could have what they needed. That’s just a sad attempt for attention and money that they don’t deserve.

  • 18 Schultz // Apr 27, 2009 at 9:50 pm

To Jimmy…I always try to see another persons point of view but in your case it’s impossible because I can’t shove my head that far up my ass!!!

  • 19 korthanx // May 20, 2009 at 12:06 pm

Hey Some one I see while you were pointing Sarah’s inability to spell. You mispelled your own religion. Just thought I would give you a heads up there little buddy.

On another note these kinds of people should at the very least have all privelages and luxuries stripped from them and be made to realize as an earlier poster mentioned the full gravity of what they put that child through.

  • 20 Twilight // May 21, 2009 at 11:49 am

Look at all the comments. I am a Christian and I do not apologize for this. . . and I surely do not need to support anyone who commits such a hideous crime. Yes the Bible teaches us “judge not least we be judged”, however it also teaches an eye for an eye! It is not the states fault that these inhuman people starved another to death it would have been easy to just give custody to the State in which they lived.

  • 21 Sam // May 27, 2009 at 5:31 pm

I think these people are suing just save some time before going to prison, just so they can spend some time in a court room instead of a cell.

  • 22 ACE // Jun 17, 2009 at 6:57 am

Why the hell are some morons discussing how to present their ideas on this blog.. A child STARVED to death. A car didnt hit the child, He didnt fall of the dam bed… It must have taken the child time to starve that much rite? How can we not blame the dumbass parents … If i were in their shoes … i would personally kick their ass with their own shoes …

  • 23 Ravenite // Jul 4, 2009 at 3:03 am

The urge to b*tch slap them is overwhelming.

  • 24 C. M. Javor // Aug 7, 2009 at 4:46 am

Okay, “Some one”, let me lay down some logic here for you. Yes, perhaps the parents situation was very grim, perhaps they were starving as well, perhaps the child had a fatal abnormality and was going to die anyway. (in all honesty, it doesn’t matter), they could have dropped the child off at a hospital or police station, anonymously. They didn’t have to let it starve. And for the record, we are NOT judging the person, we are judging BEHAVIOR, there is a difference.

Not sure if it really is my internet browser considering I yet have not any free time to upgrade and so am still employing internetexplorer 6 but while using your site I’ve noticed some kind of odd letters all around the web page . It states this together with a lot of other things immediately after it, similar to Caution: Not possible modify body string … and the like. It Is a little bit weird simply because for me web-sites such as for instance bing and google as well as my very own 1 point and shoot digital cameras do perform with no problems.

  • 31 selene // Apr 12, 2010 at 12:02 am

Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic. It’s things like this that make me hope 2012 is real so humanity (or what we call humanity anyways) can just disappear. Humans are impulsive, destructive, and sadistic creatures. This reminds me of a case where these parents wouldn’t feed their kid because the child didn’t say his prayers or something. Religion = pathetic. Society = pathetic. I like the quote “life is full of misery and pain, too bad its too long”.

Long time lurker, thought I would say hello! I really dont post much but thanks for the good times I have here. Love this place..

When I was hurt in that car accident my life would be changed forever. Sadly that driver had no car insurance and I was going to be hurting for ever.

This was not time for me to start and guess what to do. I had to find a good accident lawyer to help me get what I needed. After all, my family was counting on me.

How dreadful was it? I has bedridden for 5 months, I had to have constant care and my medical bills went through the roof!

Thankfully, I found a good referral site to help me.

I will post more later this year to tell you more about what I have been going through.

If you need an accident lawyer try the guys at accident lawyers
