It’s not easy to offend people anymore but ironically, it’s much easier for people to say they are offended. It’s the ultimate Chinese finger puzzle. You pull on one end, and the other end pulls back and I might have just offended someone by saying pull.
According to OFF/Beat Columnist Emil Steiger of the Washington Post, an Arkansas father has filed a lawsuit against the city of Bentonville after his son found a dirty naughty book in the public library, a book that has haunted them both day and night.
The offending book is called “The Whole Lesbian Sex Book,” which he found while researching on military academics. How tragic. Just imagine how traumatized he’ll become when he reaches the rank of rear admiral.
For burning these images into his brain, he is suing to have the library director fired and earn a big fat check of at least $10,000. Man, if I knew you could score $10K for being offended, I would have abandoned my sense of humor a long time ago.
