This story really pains me to the deepest, darkest, nether regions of my soul not because of its effects on civil liberties or equal rights or all that political fluff. I was just saddened to learn that ladies are getting cheaper drinks than me. IS THERE NO GOD?!?!?
SAN DIEGO, Ca. (San Diego Union-Tribune) — It might seem like a harmless marketing stunt, although some lawyers will tell you it’s an insidious form of anti-male discrimination. Either way, it’s now history in the Gaslamp Quarter.
Several local bars and clubs have been forced to drop their so-called ladies night discount-for-women promotions in response to a series of lawsuits claiming the practice discriminates against men.
They’ve also been forced to settle those lawsuits, according to the story, where the owners are saddened to learn the court system doesn’t have a ladies’ night promotion for settlements anymore for the same reason.
The men in these suits claim the practice of “ladies’ night” is not only discrimination, but also one based in humiliation since they were laughed at when they raised objections to the practice. But I thought women liked men who have a sense of humor?
The story also says one of the men who filed the lawsuits compared his discrimination to the discrimination African-Americans faced in the South before and during the Civil Rights movement. That’s right, an entire nation of people facing daily violence, fear and unequal rights brought upon by a tyrannical way of thinking is the same as two flatfoots having to pay a cover with money they took out of their daddy’s trust fund. They couldn’t BE more similar (this message was brought to you by the National Sarcasm Council: Because you obviously need things spelled out for you).

This lawsuit really pisses me off, especially since I am black.

What kind of losers would consider the pain the black people had to go through to having to pay more to get drunk and cause trouble in society?! Big time losers, that’s who

Obviously there is no comparison between this and the racial discrimination of the past, however, I have to completely agree with the basis of the lawsuit. God knows that if there was a “Gentlemen get in free” day without also having a “Ladies get in free” day there panties would be in an uproar and the media and radio would be discussing it for weeks.

One word: pathetic. Especially the comparison to blacks being oppressed.

so your telling me these men are so stupid that they don’t realize what the benefits of ladies night are?? get a clue…
1. cheaper drinks mean the men pay LESS to get ladies drunk so they can get in there pants.
2. cheaper drinks for ladies means more ladies to go around for the dumb ass men to hit on.
3. ladies night was created to bring in business to the bars. i.e.- more ladies, more men, more money spent by both!
In the words of Carlos Mencia…..The men who are sueing are Dee Dee Dee’s.
