Ahh, it’s in the air. Can you smell it? That’s right. It’s love. Sweet love. Sweet, sweet sueable love.
(From the Manchester Evening News) — FIRMS could face compensation claims from staff if workers feel they are being harassed by a colleague on Valentine’s Day, it was warned today.
Employment lawyers Peninsula said most managers were not aware of problems which could be caused if their staff received gifts or “unwelcome attention”.
That’s right, you can be sued for giving someone a Valentine. Who says love don’t cost a thing? Kiss my ass J-Lo.
The Evening News also warns that Valentines could create an “uneasy workplace,” which I can understand. I get Valentines from this guy Reggie at work all year long, which is weird because Reggie doesn’t work here and they aren’t so much Valentines as they are pictures of roadkill that he autographs with hearts dotted on the I’s.
So remember if there’s someone you fancy at the office and you want to tell them how much you love them, do the smart thing. Don’t leave them a card at work. Call them at home and breathe into the phone heavily. Leave the uneasiness at home.

WOW… not once have I ever thought that letting some know that you care will be the beginning of a lawsuit. It looks like lonely nights for a lot of us.
Would you like to go on a date?
