For the most part, we’ve been trying to keep clear of Anna Nicole Smith because when a story like this gets into the media, it becomes a whirlpool that’s hard to swim your way out of. But when the judge blubbered during his decision regarding owernship of poor Anna’s lifeless body, we (like the judge who saw a chance to be in the spotlight and not only jumped in it, but broke the floor he landed on getting into it) couldn’t help ourselves.
MIAMI, Fla. (AFP) — A BITTER and often bizarre legal battle over the body of Playboy model and billionaire’s widow Anna Nicole Smith ended today with a blubbering judge and rival lawyers agreeing she should be buried in the Bahamas.
Two weeks after the controversial blonde celebrity died at a Florida hotel, a teary-eyed judge concluded the emotionally charged hearing, telling the court he wanted the late celebrity buried alongside her son, who died in the Bahamas in September at the age of 20.
“I want them to be together,” Judge Larry Seidlin said in the Florida courtroom.
So what prompted the judge’s tears? Could it be he was emotionally drained from all the family greed in this case or he felt for Anna’s motherless child or could it be that he’s getting his own TV show? What are they calling his new show? “Eye for a Cry”?
He later told reporters in his chambers that the reason he cried is because “It’s a grieving process.” Ummm, no, it’s a LEGAL process and it requires professional LEGAL people to run it. If you want to cry for a living, hit the daytime talk show circuit.
